Anyone purchasing this "speed loader" is probably not intelligent enough to own firearms... I wonder how many of these ingenious devices the seller has actually sold.

I would not buy one, but having seen it I sure have a neat little trick for the guys and gals that shoot Ruger 22s at the range.

Looks like a camoflauged bulldog clip to me.

Everytime I ever tried to hold the follower down and just dump the rounds in a .22 magazine, it took longer to straighten the rounds out than it would to load normally.

Redneck engineering, at its finest.

The little red plastic "follower depressors" by HKS work very well for me.

I didn’t buy one but I did make one to hold that button down. Makes loading a lot easier. If I were to buy one it would be this one. http://www.mcfaden.com/cliploader.html

He probably just wants his money back after buying it himself. :)

Now I actually did buy this one, works great. Can go through a bulk pack with my buckmark in no time with it. The one in the link that is.

The magazines are a pain to load and something to use on the button to save a finger would be nice. But not to push it all the way down at the start, just so each round can be put in. Normal loading but a larger slip on button.

I have a neurological condition that compromises some of my hands' fine motor skills a bit, and loading pistol magazines is a chore that is made FAR easier for me by a tool that helps depress the follower and loaded rounds a bit--rimfire or centerfire. Like 44 Man, I'm happy with a tool that allows the follower to track just ahead of the next round to be loaded. The little red gizzies I mentioned above do that with the Ruger 22 pistol mags wonderfully. There may be 2 variants--one each for the 22/45 and the conventional 22 auto magazines. Not certain as to that last bit.

I always just cut one of the cheaper trays(soft plastic blaser type) in half and cut a notch in it.
Slip it over the button and push it down for about 3 rounds at a time.
I wish I could describe it better but it works slick.

Don't knock it before you try it! I have a few of these and they work great. They fit over the button of ruger .22's and save time and thumbs. Plus they clip onto carabiners. Chem E

Used to just tie a loop of string on my beltloop for loading MKII mags.

Put me in the unintelligent category then I love mine for my 22/45 mkII. I slide it down to depress spring hold the magazine at a forward angle and drop them in. FB

Isn`t this a reason to have more than a single mag.?Robert

The point wasn't that there aren't good ways to conveniently load mags, it is that the seller is peddling a bulldog type paper clip that appears to be covered in camouflage tape for five bucks, shipping and handling not included. Do you think he'll offer a refund if not satisfied with your purchase?

You can, with the Ruger magazine, drill a hole through the follower just above the button. Then using a small allen wrench or anything that will fit, simply pull it down with two fingers. Not perfect, but free, and much easier.

It does work great. You get them a tad cheaper if you buy 6 directly from McFaden. I sold a couple, gave a few to friends. They work with ruger MK1-2-3, high standard, and buckmark. I wish they worked in S&W 41s, and walther PP mags but oh well. Everyone that I sold or gave them to seem to like them. It's odd that I take more than one mag to the range for these guns nowdays with the "ultimate loader". Definatly recommend.
