Well I just am having a horrible time finding some load data.

H4198 and 300gr J words is all I can find load data for.

I'll likely start with 37gr of H4198 and my 323gr GCFP boolit NOE made and see how that works out.

I'm toying with the idea of a 200gr but will have to find a decent powder to work with that one.

Anyone have a favorite cast boolit load they wish to share?

I've been using 40.0 gr of H4198 with a 300gr Ranch Dog clone for just over 2000 ft/sec.

I started working with BL-C(2) years back with a 300 WFN Gc. That is my heaviest boolit. My Win BigBore 94 has that 1 in 38 twist so I didn't pursue the heavier stuff. I soon moved to Re-7 starting around 42 and moved up to 50 gr. for near 2300'/sec and fine accuracy. Re-7 works quite well with the 280 LFN and the 255 Ray Thompson gas checked boolit too. GMDR did a study on the fast burning shotgun powders like 700-X using plain based boolits and pushing them till accuracy went south. I've used the Red Dot and 700-X with checks and got good accuracy at 44 Mag velocities. I have used C.E. Harris's "The Load" in the 444 with fine results with plain based slugs also. A friend gave me some Ranch Dogs at - I believe - 265 grains or so. They look quite functional but I haven't tried them yet.

Blammer,
I'm sure you have seen this article by Glen, but maybe it's new for some others here -

Beartooth bullets has a web site and in their tech notes section there are some nice articles on the 444. I've forgotten if there is much data, but I do remember that it was an interesting read.

48 grains of AA2460 with 310 grain Lee GC is accurate in my Marlin M444.
