I need an ejector spring for an 1891 mauser (the one that looks like a flattened horshoe nail that sits inboard of the ejector box spring in the bolt release housing)

anyone know where I can get such a critter?

I think I can cut the ejector spring off from a 98mauser combo spring and make it work, but I am worried about de-tempering the spring itself. I would rather just find the right part however.

thanks,
Mike

I had to just what you suggest when mine broke. Cut off the box part of the 98, then shape the remaining piece.

Try SARCO, Gunpartscorp, and ssporters.

Years ago I had one break, so I bought a spare rifle, then a spare spring. Came from Numrich also.
