So i got to sluggin a couple of my rifles tonight. a 30-30 which i measured to be around .303 and my .3006 which meassured to be around .306. I cant seem find a sizing die from lee to size them to about a .001 above. Closet I can find is a .308 sizing die. Is this safe to do this for both guns or do i need to find a more exact die. GThanks
I'm sorry, but neither of those measurements sound right to me. They should both be around .3085" or so. Are you sure you are getting a good measurement with a micrometer?

I size to .311 for all my .30 cals. It could be your mic.

yeah those measurements are more like bore sizes.
i knocked my micrometer on the floor and had to replace it after a bunch of years and drops.

Never mind my mic is on. So why are my slugs casting so different?. Should i just take a guess then and get thrm sized to a set number such as a .311 size
Size them to .311 and see if they chamber. If they chamber, see how they shoot. If they are accurate, you're home...

I have never owned a .30 caliber that would not shoot .311 bullets accurately with no leading.
