View Full Version : Home made D type drills for home made molds.

I recall, that early last year (I think) there was a thread on how to make drills/reamers for making moulds.
I believe that the stock was ground or turned to the shape desired, then it was fluted with a milling machine, thus the name (D bit)
Then, it was hardened and tempered for the cutting job required.
Can someone point me towards that thread, or know where to get the information.
