My friend is home from the hospital! Thank you, Jesus! Hallelujah, friends and neighbors!!

I got this email from him today:

"With orthopedist's suggestion and P.T.'s encouragement, I'm walking around the house without the cast for a bit each evening. No pain and I'm able to walk without a limp or any balance problems. Progress continues."

Thank you all for keeping my buddy in your hearts and prayers. Y'all are a great bunch o' guys.

AWESOME, I have thought about your friend in the last couple of months, wondering how he was doing.
So glad that he is up and walking around. If fact I think I will raise a toast in his honor.

Doug is a landmark here in Floyd and everybody knows him. He writes a blog and reports on court cases for the local paper. That first 24 hours he spent in ICU was scary, nobody knew if he was coming home or not. Near 'bout the whole town was pullin' for 'im.

Again, I thank you all for keeping him in your hearts and prayers.

I sent an email to Doug yesterday telling him I had just found out he's home. We're meeting for lunch tomorrow at the Country Store! Apparently, he's back in the saddle as he mentioned on his site that he's back to covering court cases for the local newspaper. I'll take my camera and post something for y'all.
