Which powder is best ?

I have 3 types of powder on hand Blue Dot, Red Dot, and Unique. Which would be the best choice for 250 Grain Hornady XTP bullets in the 45 ACP or would it make much difference. Haven't found a lot of load info on the 250 grain bullet in my three manuals. Thanks

I use a lot of Red Dot to load 45ACP.

Blue Dot: 8.1–8.3 gr 760 fps
Unique: 5.1–5.4 gr. 760 fps
oal 1.210" min

from Lee data for 260 grain jacketed, .45 ACP

I like unique in my loads. Very versitile powder and clean.

I mostly use Red Dot for .45ACP, but think I'd use Unique for a 250gr load. I'd also assume since you're using a higher performance bullet, you probably also want full power loads? Unique is a little slower and better suited to do both while still keeping pressures in range.
