Interesting is right, but you know, just because you can try something doesn't mean you need to try something.

I was waiting for the fairy to rear it's ugly head. Absolutely amazing.

I agree. Sure we could do it, but why would we? Already seen the video that was good enough for me.

It works, I won't go into how I know it works, suffice to say some alcohol was involved. Much like lying on the nail bed or fire walking, it's just basic chemistry and physics applied. A quick dip won't hurt you a bit, but don't leave it there!

Saw the video.
That's good enough for me.
I consider it already been done.
No need to do it again.

Can anyone enlighten me as to why the tinsel fairy is absent during this stunt? It would be my luck to wind up with clean fingers and a face full of lead.

I was shocked no water "exploded" out. I think because their hands were barely wet. You see them shake off excess before plunging in.

I saw this test years ago by a university professor, who used the same analogy to explain why you can stand nekid in the arctic etc...

then he went and dunked his hand, up to above the knuckles in molten lead....

I believe it, but I won't be doing it any time soon!

Chinese proverb: "I do not have to put my hand in the fire to know that it is hot."

I watched that episode. Ain't gonna try it. These are the same guys that shot a bowling ball through a neighborhood a while back. Never did find out what that cost 'em !

Grass Hopper... when you can dip your hand in molten lead it is time for you to go.

Why?

Because you're too F....n crazy for us to let you stay!

When I was a kid (WWII) a neighbor chum showed up with his hand bandaged up. Seems that a plumber showed him the trick (dipping his hand in the lead pot, right back out, and no burn) without explaining that the sweat on his hand provided a momentary cushion - so Dick tried it, sweatless, and removed the hand danged fast, but not fast enough. I don't believe he had any lasting injury, tho...
