Finally got out to shoot my new cast loads for my 16" Carbine 300 Blk. These were super loads. As you can see not bad at all for just using a Reddot with 4 moa dot and no magnification. I also shot these through my Rem 7400 and it likes them as well. I'm very happy with this bullet and plan on shooting a bunch of them. I didn't chrony these yet -just to freaking cold !

Load data:

That 300BLK is a sweet carbine isn't it :) I feel confident in mine out to 100 yards for most deer size game.

Why would you limit it to 100 yards? Heck my deer load is the Speer 150 gr SPBT runin at 1950 fps ! More then enough punch for our big Mulies out past 250 yards! Even 125 gr BT's will get you out to 175 or more! Yep I do love this 300 Blk. This bullet going to get used alot!

Thanks! For the first go with this bullet I was impressed as well. I'll take 8holes in the ten ring anytime. That cluster right on the line of the ten ring is a 3 holer! Especially when it's 18 degrees!

My supersonic load is a 125gr Sierra so I prefer a little closer for the lighter weight bullet. For lead, I'll keep it at 100yards for an ethical kill.

I run my 125 gr TNT's at 2140 fps that gives 849 ftlbs at 175 yards more then enough for WT deer seeing a 44 mag gets that at the muzzle! With cast bullet I like to bust both front shoulders -then they tend not to go anywhere!:)

Using the same boolit I shrunk my groups from 4" to 1.5" at 100 yards using 17gn Reloder 7 instead of Lil Gun. 16" SS HBAR 1/8 twist. Lil Gun works well with commercial bullets but not for cast in my rifles.

Yea I expect at least 1" when I through my scope on- I'll do that when the weather is warmer! If I can do that at 100 yards this bullet should be good at distance, 200 and better.

Any idea what kind of velocity you're getting with this load? I've got some loaded up but haven't made it to the range to shoot them yet.

Ill editing chrony work later this week. BTW at 17.5gn the charge was being compressed so this would be max charge in this combo.

My notes from the initial testing shows that 17gn was grouping better than 16gn with clean burning and good cycling. 3 other powder types the same day were giving lousy results.

Typos above. Note to self, after putting in eye drops don't try posting.

Had LASIK on Thursday and not quite there yet.

I have some 1680 and h4198 would either of these work with this bullet?

Used 1498 at 100% case capacity. Cycled ok but no accuracy. Looked like buckshot at 10 paces.
