I have a friend who just purchased a Jimenez in .380ACP. He also purchased some Remington Ultimate Home Defense ammo(HD380B) which has a 102g HP bullet. The problem is: the ammo won't fit thru the magazine even tho I measured the OAL and it is under the SAAMI spec of .984! These factory rounds actually measure .952 to .956. I reseated a few to .938 before they would fit in the clip, but I'm concerned that this may increase pressures too much for this gun. The owners manual says not to use +P loads in this gun. Whatcha guys think? Is .018 deeper gonna raise pressure too high?

Was at a local dealer last week. Someone brought in one of these that blew up. He was shooting standard 380 ammo when it did it. All these are, are re named Jennings pistols. I would NOT shoot +P in one.

Anyone have any first hand experience with a Jimenez .380?

I had a Jennings and all I can say is it went bang when the trigger was pulled. Group size was proportional to the distance from the target. I was very glad when that went away.

I had one, nothing wrong with them. Not a range gun, but it goes bang when needed.

I cracked the frame on my first one shooting my 125-grain .358" bullet at the SAMMI max. Not the guns fault as the recoil energies are higher than what it was designed for. Jimenez replaced it immediately without issue.

I use a 22 Cal Jimenez for my trap line gun
It is also used for plinking

I have shot ............thousands and thousands of rounds in it over the years

I will admit is is now loose and has lost accurcy
But it still works fine for dispatching coon and Yotes
