Folks, I placed my order with Tom last Friday....and his brass artwork arrived today. Outstanding delivery, and one bee-utiful mold. I ended up ordering Toms 380250A (.375 Winchester design) and the 380270L. Too late tonight to run a hot pot, but tomorrow afternoon is all mine :-D

One other interesting note: In the previous discussion of the 380250A Tom indicated that freebore in the .375 Winchester Big Bore varied to the extreme. Boy was that right on. Of the 3 rifles I am preparing to cast for there was .170" difference between the two extremes.

I have also read numerous accounts of folks using 38-55 brass in them, and many claim that the chambers on the Big Bore Winchester .375 are cut to the old 38-55 length, so they claim it's alright to use 38-55 brass in them. While playing with these rifles, I dug out some NOS 38-55 brass (unfired at 2.079" length), and ran them through the chambers. One of the rifles when chambered crimped the end of the brass. So be on guard if you are thinking of using 38-55 brass in your BB .375 Winchesters...the old assumptions may not apply to your particular rifle.

I've gotten two of Toms molds so far and they are perfection at its best! He is also a super guy to talk to about molds and answers emails very quickly. I needed a mold for my Rossi .357 Rifles and wanted something more than 125 grains but not quite 158 and he recommended a 135 grain GC mold that not only feeds and shoots well in my Rossi's, but shoots VERY well from my .357 revolvers.

Just a stand up guy all around.

Tom is 4 Aces both in service and quality of his molds ... on the ASSRA forum, 3 of us designed a bullet for the 1880 obsolete 9.5x47R caliber. After multiple CAD reworks, we sent it to Tom as a custom design. Within 3 days, he had it in his catalog as a standard mold. I ordered the mold immediately because it was for my rifle. Six days later the aluminum mold arrived at the door - Perfect dimensions to the CAD drawing and one easy casting mold

96 out of a 100 = 210.4 to 210.8gr

Unfortunately, along came Super Storm Sandy and this mold doesn't look the same being in 36" of salt water. Fast forward ... have the brass 9.5x47R double cavity coming as a replacement

This was my 1st Accurate mold but there will be others for sure

As I understand it to order a mold it has to be in the catalog, which is nice because every time a person orders something new then that is out there for other people to look at. My first accurate order is 42400S which is simply 42400T with normal lube grooves instead of fumble lube grooves :-).

I got three of his molds so far. A 12 gauge full bore 700 grainer, a 20 gauge full bore 450 grainer and a 250 grain 401 diameter bullet for my smokeless muzzleloader sabots. Best money I ever spent on molds
