I have a 995 carbine that I want to put a better rear sight on.

I'm perfectly happy with the front sight, I'd just like something better on the rear.

I have no idea what to call it or how to find what I want. I'd prefer a 'V' type sight that I can adjust a good bit.

How low must it be to work with your Hi-point 995 carbine?

If standard AR BUIS would work

you could always WECSOG it...

or you can install one of these in it.

I suppose about an inch or so would be about right. I can adjust the front sight up and down about a 1/2" or so.

Depending on the height of your rail an MBUS of any flavor will be fine. Magpul makes a good one, it's poly but at around $50.00 it won't be a budget breaker either. ;-)

Look around, and you can sometimes find the Matech BUIS that Uncle uses for $35-50, frequently new. Wonder where all them new, cheap sights are coming from?
