I have one I can share. I have been playing around with the LEE C312-155-2R gas checked and sized to .310
Pretty much finding this to be a great bullet for some plinking.

SotaArms upper, 16 inch w/ 1 in 8 twist.

LEE C312-155-2R gas checked and sized to .310
16 gr of RL-7
Averaged 1456 fps. Max spread was 94fps

LEE C312-155-2R gas checked and sized to .310
16.5 gr RL-7
1525 fps
Spread 70 fps

LEE C312-155-2R gas checked and sized to .310
17gr RL-7
1595 fps
Spread 87fps

ts apparent I will not get super velocity out of RL-7 pushing cast.
Thats ok though, all three loads I have tried shoot lights out at 100 yards.
I bet if I was real careful with the bullet weight and no blems. match the cases.ect
I bet they would clover leaf at 100.
really really happy so far.

Lots OOOOOO Fun:)

That has turned out to be my favorite boolit in the 300 AAC as well. Other powders to try which have worked well for me are Lilgun, H110, and AA5744. Only thing I havn't been able to get to work yet is a good subsonic load that will fully cycle my action. Reloader 7 works great for me when going to the heavy stuff, good pressure and function.

I am using H110 with my jacketed loads, Havent tried it with cast in it yet. What are you loading H110 at with that bullet?

I will dig out my data in the morning. My notebook is in a room with a sleeping monster that I don't want to wake up!! I think it was around 15 - 17 grains, but like I said I will dig out my data at first light.

Got my data, so here goes.

The Lee boolit you mentioned, a charge of 15 gr. of H110 worked well. You might need to load that up or down for your rifle.

Reloader 7 doesn't work too well in my rifle unless the boolits are over 168 gr. Lighter stuff leaves lots of unburned powder in the chamber and barrel.

I tried Lilgun but didn't do much experimentation. Might be one of the better powders for this caliber. 12 gr. Lilgun under a 168 grain boolit (also tried with jacketed of same weight) cycled well and didn't beat the brass and showed no pressure signs.

Try some A1680 for your big heavy stuff. If my memory serves me, start somewhere around 10 grains of 1680 for 200 grain boolits and work up. You will probably end up around 11 grains to get maxium speed and still be sub sonic. The 1680 is a high pressure for load size powder. It should give you complete cycling on your ar.

15.5gr seems to be about the best for me but I'm having a bit of inconsistancy with H110. Some groups are great, some are terrible. I've got some loaded up with Reloader 7 to try and and I'm going to try some 2400 as well. It's a bolt gun so cycling isn't an issue but I'd like to find something that works well in the AR as well.

I want to try it. I really do! Badly! NO ONE in the State of NH has it in the store. Most kinda look at me funny when I ask for it.

I just got my mold yesterday (155) I'm sizing mine to .309"! Loaded up 20 rounds in the 300 blk and 5 in '06! The 300 blk I went with 16.5 gr Lil'Gun they should be around 1900ish cause 16.8gr with Speer 150gr BTs get around 1950 fps.

I have not had any trouble cycling the action with the RL-7 loads. I did notice a few unburned flakes of powder. Not to bad though.
Accuracy is pretty good.
I think sizing a tad bigger at .310 and crimping them good. Allows the pressure get come up and allows a better burn.

H110 and this cast bullet are for sure on the to do list. Getting about 1600 fps out of RL-7. Would like to get into the 17 to 1800 fps range.
I have pushed this bullet at 2000 fps out of a 308win and did not get leading. 1750 would be right in its wheel house.

Yea I got to run them about 2200 fps in my Rem 7400 to get them to cycle. Haven't had a problem with the Lee 170 gr GC at that speed and my alloy. These pointy bullet just look so right in both the 300 Blk and '06!

Cycling of the action with Reloader 7 has never been an issue as it seems to produce plenty of port pressure. It's the unburned powder that's left in the chamber, barrel and locking lugs that I really don't like. Looked like almost 1/4 of the charge I loaded into the case. I probably just need to spend some more time experimenting and shooting (what a shame!!!!) that boolit/powder combo to find what will work.

I do size that boolit to .310. Actually, I loaded up some .310 diameter Winchester bulk jacketed bullets that I had intended to run through an AK and never got around to. Conventional wisdom says .308" jacketed bullet through a .308" bore, but the .310s did just fine, plenty accurate and nothing over pressure.

I want a blackout upper for my AR as well. Your planning is good so once you get the gun you will be all set to shoot. The only thing I have started is saving cases that have problems that will not work for 223 but will do OK for case forming to the blackout. I have shot a blackout and they are a blast to shoot. If I ever get one it will be a dedicated boolit shooter.

Straight wheel weight alloy, water quenched works great. Lube however you normally do, this is not a fussy caliber.

Wheel weights air cooled. At the speeds this boolit runs you won't need to water drop to get good results.

I have been shooting just cheap range scrap lead dropped on air.
Shoots great and no leading. No need to be fussy, just cast them up and let them fly.

A pause for the COZ, those 155's look a little deeply seated. I seat them to the first groove leaving the top band exposed and they function 100%. I load that boolit with 15.3gr H110/W296.
