As we all know, the days of plentiful tire weight lead for casting boolits are coming to an end, and I am currently in the market for new sources. One readily plentiful way to get lead where I live on the coast of Florida is in the form of lead fishing weights, dive belt weights, sinkers, etc. Just wondering about the possible composition. One problem that could arise is a lack of antimony if pure lead was used. If this is the case, will adding enough tin solder even the score. I believe that most weights most likely will be made of old tire weights or other cheap scrap. Any comments would be appreciated. thanks
