I was given a set of Lyman mold handles, and was told that they are small handles. I dont have any Lyman molds and am wondering what they will fit. Will they work with Lyman 2 cav molds?

Thanks!

Single cavity molds. The small handles look the same as the large handles with one subtle difference. The large handles fit the 2 cavity molds. I don't think they still make the small handles so maybe single and double cavity molds are now built on the same block size? The 4 cavity Lymans always took a different handle.

Small molds would be my guess!

Small handles usually will only fit the older, single cavity moulds. The small ones! :)

they fit ideal single cavity molds too.
the small molds are about 1"x1"x1-1/4" tall.

It depends on the age, lyman now makes Large and Small handles, with the small handles designed for 1 and 2 cav molds, and the large designed for 4 cav molds. BUT that is for current production handles, I don't know when that design scheme began.

Ifin ya don`t wanna keep em shoot me a PM

Ya can fit em to 2 cavitys ,BUT it takes some grinding near the pin to allow the blocks to close squarely then the handles will be spread apart like a V.

Lymans current line up is all the 1&2 cavitys are the same ,no more "small" blocks ,so they make 1 set of handles, & then ya have the 4 cavity set up which have there larger/longer looking handles.

Ya can`t order a single cavity mold ,it`s left up to Lyman, most of the time though it`s the larger boolits that are 1 holers.
