About 40 years ago I did a little casting and am trying to get started again. Still accumulating tools, etc.
Dug out some ingots I had cast way back then. I have some #2 Alloy and some linotype. One of them (not sure which is which) has most of the shiny gone and are mostly dull gray. Any problems with this?

Are you saying that the ingots that have lost their luster are probably the linotype?

Your old WWs probably have a high antimony content. I bet you will want to thin them down with pure lead and add extra tin. One part tin for every three parts antimony is magical.
Old days WWs were up to 9% antimony and around 1% tin.

My #2 Alloy are not from wheel weights. I can't remember back 40 years, but I know I have never used any wheel weights.
