safty question goop

i had a bad hull(i messed it up) so i cut the crimp off and popped a lee slug in 1oz and sealed it with goop. i've seen on you tube people use wax...but in anyone's oppion would this be safe...figgered i ask first .....it was a 1300 fps 8 shot hull, i've been takeing the shot out and saveing it for my blackpowder shotgun and putting the lee slug in and crimping it with a lee load all2....just getting started in reloading...thanks edhttp://i343.photobucket.com/albums/o454/stripercrazy/100_7515_zpsc3c2e0f7.jpg

i sealed with goop the stuff to seal waders/shoes

It had occurred to me to use a very small amount of liquid alox just sort of drizzled around the perimeter of the slug to seal it in. I have heard of someone using elmers glue also. Interesting concept, Be Careful out there.

Whatever you use you will end up having to clean out of your bore. Just a thought.



maybe not though if it's inside the shotcup. but you will want the slug to shed the shotcup in a somewhat uniform manner. let us know what happens.
