I don't have a current Blue Book and would like to know the value of this piece. Purchased in the '70s, original owner, 95 - 98% condition. With box and papers.

Good source here from Smith and Wesson thread. I've owned mine for 20yrs, just took it to Alaska to backup my shotgun during grouse hunting.

The current Blue Book of Gun Values list it as worth $650 in 95 % condition, and $775 in 98% condition.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Fred. That's exactly what I was looking for. Went to Guns America but none were listed.

Saw one for 700 at the last gun show I went to, hadn't seen one for years before that.

Older no dash P&R guns LNIB / ANIB with box & all the goodies you see asking prices $ 900 - $ 1200 . Only 30K of 'em made & 10% of that were nickle . They're kinda of a cult gun now days .

Yes cult is correct. You think casting boolits is addictive? Beware the power of the 41 it will quickly make the rest of the safe mad at it. Wanted a particular DW for a decade. Finally got it this past year. Killed 3 deer with mine this season open sights. Carry it when I'm in the woods. Pretty much everyday. 44's and 357's are envious but ask me if I care. :)

The Blue Book is generally low on S&W revolvers ! I would not sell mine for the values they quote. :)

I sold my 58 about 6 years ago and it wasnt in the condition yours was and got 600 for it. Id guess in that condition and especially considering you have the box and papers I wouldnt take a penny under a grand for it. Id bet you could realisticaly get close to 1200 for it. there is collectors interest in 58s.
