Hello Folks,

I just ordered the Lee 6 CAV C452-300-RF mold. I'll be able to use it in several guns, but I'm curious if anyone here has used this bullet for a Freedom Arms M83 in 454 Casull. The Freedom Arms cylinder is a bit short, and I'm wondering if the nose will be too long.

Thanks, Tom

I have that mold in the 2 cavity variety and use it in my Vaquero 45 Colt. I also have the 452-255 RF. Comparing the two boolits, the front portion beyond the crimp groove is almost the same dimension. The 300 has two crimp grooves so you can seat further out if the weapon allows. I plan on milling the gas check shank from the mold to make plain based boolits. I have a plain base gas check maker and so a shank is not necessary for my needs.
