hi Fellas just thought i'd share a pic of my Christmas present to myself. it's a Uberti 73 sporting rifle in 44/40 unfortunatly my photography skills don't do it justice.

Good morning
That is going to be a long time enjoyable rifle. Been carrying 73's for many years chasing groundhogs and getting to see other critters in the process. A 44-40 pushing a 200-240 grainer will be more than enough rifle for any beasty you will ever see that weights 500 pounds or less.

Thanks for the kind words. It will mainly be used for CAS but will see a bit of field use as well. Took it out just the other night to christen it & got a couple of bunnys. Shoots pretty well as far as I could tell, I'll put it over the bench on the weekend.
Now I'm thinking of selling my existing Uberti 1876 & getting one made the same as this 73 to make a cased set, what do you guys think?
