Does anyone hunt with this bullet likes dislikes. I shoot a 250 grain wfn cast perf bullets out of my smith 57 really pleased with how they work on deer. I also have a ruger blackhawk that I cast a 220 grain saeco round nose flat point very accurate out of that gun but really a small meplat. I'm looking for one bullet, plain base to cast for both guns.

I have used the 41-210gr tumble lube boolit from lee and it worked well. Accuracy was so so, but for plinking off the tractor it did OK. I bought one of Accurate's 230 LFN molds, plain base and it really out performed in the accuracy dept although I havent shot any game with it yet. The trajectory was noticeably flatter with the 230 out to 400 yards when I was trying to call artillery on a roaming coyote one day. The drop was VERY repeatable and I came really close a couple times. I cast mine out of straight WW+2% air cooled and they seemed to seal the bore very well, so all in all I would call it a success. Blue dot and 2400 have been my powders of choice so far. No idea what velocity I was getting but after about 6 rounds, the hand stung a little.

I have shot a few with the lee 200 swc acww and they perfomed great. have moved to the accurate 220k. they shoot better in my rig. Still acww plain base moving 1205 fps. More than plenty to smack one.

I took one with the rcbs, then a few more with the saeco version of the same boolit. It performed well in all cases.

I shoot that bullet out of a ruger bisley. 2400 and aa#9 worked best. Velocity was around 1350 iirc. Leading was a problem for me however. I switched to 250 wfngc and haven't looked back.

the mold i had cast great and shot just fine with ww - never shot anything but paper-- if you get the fit right -- it will do right

I also use the RCBS 41-210-SWC in my Ruger Bisley and it shoots just fine, even at full magnum velocities of 1400+ fps. However, I cast it of COWWs +2% tin for the magnum loads. The COWWs +2% tin with 50% lead added work quite well for the "medium" range 41 loads of around 1000 fps. I also use the Lee TL41-175-SWC and the TL41-210-SWC for medium level loads quite successfully. However, if hunting I find the RCBS at 1400+ fps gives as good performance as as any other hard cast SWC.

I have taken several deer with that bullet all under 30 yards and all went right down with a lung shot. Accuracy was fair but seemed to improve in both my guns when I hollow pointed the bullet (199 gr). I have only taken a small doe with the HP version so it hasn't really been tested yet.

Thanks for all of the responses I've been looking at the accurate mold site had forgotten all about them until it was mentioned here. Now I'm eyeballing the 250A its really close to the cast performance bullet that I shoot out of my smith.
