Was out today looking for primers. The place I like to buy them used to have Win at 27.99 / 1000. They are now at 33.99 / 1000. Didn't buy any.
I did get 8 pounds of 2400 for 110 .

All three places I went had very empty gun cabinets and shelves. Looks like sales of firearms have been brisk.

Saw very few AR type rifles on the acts where they usually reside.

Multiple places were limiting ammo sales. 500 rounds of handgun, 1000 rounds of rifle ammo.

Saw many ammo can of 820 rounds of military surplus 223 for 450 bucks. Didn't buy any of that but I am sure it is selling well.

I am sure many of you are seeing similar things in your area.

I was in a nice gun shop yesterday in Mountain Home Ark. Looking for 22 RF ammo. He had more than any place else that I had been in the last few days.Only problem was he was in the process of raising the price on every box of 22RF ammo in the shop.I saw him mark out the original price of 6.50 on CCI SGB and remark it at 9.99.That was a 50 round box. Fed. Champions were remarked 42.50 for a 500 round brick. Midway gets about 20.00 when they have them.I ask why the price increase.....
He said that everyone is wanting 22 shells so he had to raise his price.

I left Never to return again..........Terry

I went to Cabelas on the 21st to buy some Primers.
I had some Holiday Coupon in hand.
they've had win primers for $27.
the tags on the shelf were all $39 per thou.
no primers to be seen.

my local gun store doesn't seem to be raising prices in the last 2 weeks but he sure did sell darn near every black gun form the rack , had one sig 5.56 left that was it

my son and wife went with , my son wanted to get me a Christmas present i tried to help with some ideas but then i had to let him decide , he asked what kind of 9mm i use , um i make my own , he asked a few more then he realized i make my own for about everything but 22

i tried to explain , you can't go wrong with primers , but i don't think he got me primers ,were opening gifts over the weekend so i will see what he chose

i guess you could say if it needs shooting around here lead is just going to have to be good enough if it makes you feel better use 2 their still less than store bought bullets. just pick up the brass when your done

This is all a reaction to the fear of what obozo, and the administration will bring down on the heads of all of us. Can only hope that it will not be as bad as we fear.

Have you not read the healthcare bill? It's going to be bad.

The panic buying is on again.
The larger stores, read Sportmans Warehouse, Cabelas here, are running out of primers.
Your best bet is looking at the smaller local shops.
Not that I am in the market, but you can probably forget about finding black guns at this point....dale

The black guns are nearly gone here, but everything else seems to be holding normal.
Primers and powder still looking reasonable
