I cast up about 125 HPs from my MP 434640. I bought the 434 because I have several .44s including a Browning 92, which requires a large diameter boolit (grooves 0.431"). They do drop 0.434" with 50/50 ww/pure.
I'm loading this first for my 696, which has 0.430" cylinder throats. I just sized a few of these with my Lee push-through sizer at 0.430" and the sizing die squoze the boolit so that there is a thin rim of lead left around the base of the boolit. I tried swiping these across some medium grip emery paper, but that seemed to make more of a mess of the base than I was hoping. What have other people done when they need to size down this much?
