Not to worry, only the size DE cap die has the ring. You may want to pull a bullet from a dummy round and make sure it maintains the size you started with, if not you may need a little bigger expander.

the lee carbide factory crimp die is the one you have to watch out for with cast. Instead use your bullet seater/crimp die to seat only then get a lee taper crimp die in the given caliber to crimp in a seperate step.

I use a .40 carbide taper crimp for range pick up base bulge brass.

If you have the Lee four die set and another powder through die in any caliber or another carbide factory crimp die in a LARGER caliber, you can place the crimp ring and adjuster knob in the spare die. Right now my 40S&W crimp ring is in a 45 Colt CFC die body. All it does is taper crimp my .40 handloads.
