The grip safety on my stainless Kimber Gold Medal Match II has far too much spring tension behind it and I want to bend that leaf to make it lighter. I've taken my Colt apart before, but I don't know how the ambi safety is removed. I have extra large hands and as it is now, I must have a death grip on the gun or the grip safety interferes with trigger pull. I know I must remove the grip panels, slide off the main spring housing and remove the hammer and strut. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
