If you use new hulls which have never seen a crimp, use the 6 segment folder as I have seen that the roll crimped hulls that I occasionally reload crimp better with the six segment crimp versus the 8 segment crimps. My personal advice to to swing by the local gunclub and buy some used hulls from them. They're usually once-shot and will crimp easier on the LEE Loadall.

Go the used hull route. I had a 20 gauge for awhile and it would not crimp a new hull satisfactorly. It would crimp them and the crimp would look like it was good. A few days later the crimp would start to open up and shot would gradually start falling out. If you stick to used hulls, the Load All will make usable loads but not with new hulls. I finally went to a MEC and never looked back. my experience anyway, james

Ballistic products sells a crimp starter for new hulls for MECs and P/Ws. It is metal with a ball bearing inside to allow the crimp starter to freewheel so to speak. It is also a 6 pt as well.

Take care
