Any ideas whether shipping primed brass has to go as Hazmat via USPS?

Yes it does, due to the primer.

I would call UPS. Loaded ammo doesn't need to be sent as hazmat so I wouldn't think that primed brass does.

The only thing I have ever heard of having a hazmat fee is component primers and powder.

Primed brass does require a Hazmat charge with UPS. If you call your local UPS you may or not may not get the correct answer. Go to their site, print it out and take it with you go to ship............Creeker
