First week in new job.

Friday saw the end of my first week in my new job. It was a wild ride! The days flew by as I worked away at learning the new systems and clients etc. All good though and the company Christmas function was Friday evening also. Folk appear genuinely happy to be at work; something MOST foreign to me from where I can from. And to top it off, we all got a ham for Christmas. I said to the boss I felt a bit odd about taking a ham on my 4th day but he assured me it was all good.

AH! A good ham, That means it was a Peanut City, Luters, Prudens, Gwaltney or Smithfield from Virginia in good ole USA! LOL. I love ham, only thing better is bacon! Yes, being at a job where employees are valued is great! I have been at both ends of the employees appreciation spectrum and good professional employees that are appreciated and valued certainly perform at a higher and more valuable level than abused ones. Glad it's been a good job so far. Wife just took the Christmas ham out of the oven and I'm gonna go put glaze on it. Best of luck on the new job Jeff! 10 ga

It is always good to come home from work happy. Having good employers that treat you like a person and not a number is good for all involved. As Phil says on Duck Dynasty Happy,happy happy!
I was blessed in my new job of two years with the freight company I am with as the treat us good and value their drivers.

All good. Lots to be done. Nice to have a boss that I can talk to and actually understands what is going on and values my ideas.
