Anybody have one of these? If so I'd sure like to see some pictures of this boolit.

Also, any shooting experiences with this design out of a milsurp Mauser would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Sorry, don't have this mould, so I can't comment on how it shoots, but a silhouette profile is here. http://castbulletengineering.com/page009.html

It must be one of Jim's very early designs as it's on page 2 of his first "catalogue".

Yep, that's where I saw it. :D

Sure would like to hear of how that one shoots since I now have an 1893 Spanish Mauser rifle in the original 7x57 chambering.

Always wanted a true 170 grn 7mm gas checked boolit for my milsurps.

If you want one, you'd better get in quick. Jim is winding down his business and heading for retirement. I emailed him just this morning (it's Thursday here) and ordered a mould for a 310 Martini and one comment he made was "I still have a couple of sets of blocks on hand", suggesting that when his block are used up, that could be it.

I've been using his 285 160S in the 7TCU with good results even with the oversize TC bore. It fits even better in the BRNO 7x57R with it's tighter, correct dia bore.

The 288 170 should work just fine in your Mauser.

If you've never used a CBE mould, I can tell you they are a joy to use.
