LUBEING BRASS WONT FIX THE PROB I HAD, WOULD ONLY HELP A LIL'.. This set-up now needs no lube..
THIS IS ABOUT EXPANDER JAMMED INTO (on the inside of brass, not outside) BRASS, I DONT WANT LUBE ON INSIDE OF BRASS. THE IDEA OF DIFFERENT BRAND WORKS BUT MY RCBS HAS BELL TAKEN OUT ON LAITHE.

talking bout expander die only. pulling brass out of Expander die only conversation. everyone should watch darwins youtube " 100 in 6:37 ". This darwin youtube is what got me on this project.

Tonite i took 9mm out of LLM & set it up for 45acp..
1) sizer ( already have decapped & SS cleaned brass).
2) old 1987 rcbs expander & solid, not a thru die ( I put on laithe and "stepped it like dillon" expander [photo above] thru die supplied by mrbullet).
3) lee pro powder measure (with expander machined off, no bell just turned off on laithe flat). The lil' internal 4$ lee expander was totally cut off. All lee powder measures does is drop powder in station 3.
4) mrbulletfeeder.biz/45acp/cast boolits.
5) Lee seat die with lite crimp.

i have had rcbs exp die for a while and finally figured out what to do with it watching darwin, mrbullet, & NO LUBE NEEDED WITH THIS SET-UP..

There are dry lubricants you can apply to the case expander that will prevent sticking, but won't compromise your powder and primer. Graphic and molybdenum disulfide come in spray and powder form, and you can also get PTFE sprays (Break Free is one) and dry silicone sprays. None of these will cause you trouble as long as you let them dry before you start running your loader. I'd prefer the silicone or PTFE sprays, because they're clear instead of black or silver-gray -- but it's harder to tell when it's time to stop the press and respray with the colorless coating.

Never seen a dry silicone--what is brand?
PTFE forms hydrofluoric acid when burns. Not something I want to breathe. Great for anything that is not exposed to flame and I don't have to breathe it.
Prefer graphite as it is totally compatible with all reloading operations.
Polishing the expander plug also works often times.

The brand of dry silicone spray I'm familiar with is NAPA. I used to use it to lubricate the nail feeder slides on nail guns (I repair those and other power tools for a so-called living); it'll slick things up without leaving oil that can capture dirt (or possibly kill a primer), and it's invisible once dry.

Imperial Dry Neck Lube (the one on the left) won't contaminate powder and doesn't need to be removed after use.
