I have two possibilities:

1. Helicoptering in from offshore if I can't fix the problem in an hour when I fly out there Thursday. If the world ends, the view from that offshore platform is going to be spectacular.

2. Going to the office and waiting for the word to head out early for the Christmas holiday weekend.

Probly not the right place to put this but, I'm going to my Fathers funeral. He was born Dec. 18th 1932...Passed on Dec. 17th, 11:20pm 2012. He was a cancer survivor for a little over a year. Died from a hard head. True story... He beat colon cancer and about a year ago, after going through radiation treatments and regular checkups the tests came back w/no signs of cancer. About a month ago he was sitting at a restaurant eating dinner and had a sharp pain in his side. Went to the hospital & found out it was a kidney stone. A couple days later when he passed it he was still having pain so went back to the doc. Found out he had a kidney infection. He got it in his head he was going to die in the hospital. We, us kids & family told him it was just a kidney infection & he wasn't going to die. He said he was tired & was ready to go. He has had a good life, had a lot of fun, had a good job & was able to provide for and raise his family & he was ready to hang it up. He refused to eat anything while in the hospital so they put a feeding tube in & that really pissed him off. His kidneys wouldn't work & if you've ever seen anybody refuse dialysis and swell up from the kidneys not working you know it's not a comforting sight. It took about 3 weeks but he was true to his word, as always.

I'm dealing with it fairly well. We've been expecting this day to come for a while now. He's been showing early signs of parkinsens and alzheimers so we knew our time with him was coming to an end. I know I don't post on here very much, I read more than I talk. This is a great place & you guys have no idea how you touch some peoples heart. I'm proud to be a member.

well I am going to grab the 62cal trade gun and head to the woods about an hour before daylight. There is a huge 8x8 whitetail buck that leaves the cornfield 1/2 hour before daylight. I know which way he goes and fully intend to be deep enough in the woods that he will pass by me at about 20 min after it is light enough to see to shoot. I have been working on patterning this buck since the middle of Sept.

I don't know where folks got that the world would end, it is nothing more than the end of a Mayan age. The only difference is the end of the 5th age in Mayan Mythology is suppose to be the end of the age of God. The way I see it we live in a pretty Godless world and it will only continue to get worse.

for Y2K i had spend 2 years testing hardware and software to make sure it was ready we all went to the office and made sure everything was all right

the boss had a case of champain for preps

i had a case of ammo for the AK , plenty of D-cells for the mag light and 10 days canned food in my truck

I knew the systems would be fine but if some drunk hit a pole and took down the lights , I wasn't going to put up with a riot

current preps , are just what every one should have all the time , some ammo, months toilet paper , a weeks water , 2 weeks food

and now i almost never go to the office.
