A machine shop I worked had expandble "buttons" for work locating. They wer installed in fixtures the part placed over them and the OD could be adjusted with a screw for a tighter fit of the part. I am thinking of working up a stoning fixture for trigger and thought these would be ideal for mounting the trigger of course I can't find them, I know that Carr-Lane does not carry them any ideas?
The fixture is or Ruger SA's and I want the adjustment to cover size variance and thought it would be easier than removable pins or reaming.

Brownells might have a gun specific set.

They used to offer a set of slave pins that held the hammer and trigger outside the frame so you could see just how they fit. I have a set here from about 25-30 years ago, they worked and weren't crazy expensive.

Why buy tool maker's buttons? Make them yourself. It is very easily done.

+ on Rev's comment. I've been a toolmaker for 30 years and have always made the tooling needed to do a job. Spending money of things like that (especially when they are not cheap items or may only be used once) is not economically feasible for most shops.

A jewelers saw is a great investment (like $25) for making small slits in doodads like this. It cuts a .010" slot.
