Hi Guys! I just thougt I would share my good time today out shooting Cast Boolets. I posted a couple pictures in the gascheck forum. I tought this forum might be more appropriate.

I used a Remington 700, Varmint Laminate.
I double dipped the boolet noses in Lee liquid allox (twice). This gave the nose a nice even layer of lube to help center the nose in the rifling. My noses show light rifling marks when chambered. Between the lube and correct sized noses (.300), this keeps the noses very well centered for the trip down the bore.

All the other load information is recorded on the pictures. (Use at your own discretion)

The diamond on the lower center of the pictures has a 1/2" white center.

These Loads seem to show some promise. Unfortunately I managed to have a flier in each of the groups. It was a characteristic I showed nearly all day! [smilie=b: LOL! I managed 3 groups under.400" with j word bullets (7mm Mag.) though, so It wasnt a total flop.

Hope you guys like the post and pictures.

Take care and Merry Christmas fellow Boolet Shootes!

I would hunt any of those groups. Looks to me like you have it figured out.
I know there is always room to improve, but I like it. At least I would hunt it till I found something better.

that's some fine shootin', and that's pretty good velosity too!

I have been playing with my Savage in 308. I have had some pretty good results with 150 gr cast and 18 gr 2400. 2400 seems to do pretty good in the smaller cased 308 loadings.
I have not had as much luck in the bigger cases 303Brit or 8mm Mauser, Not bad just not good.
I tried a quick test of RL7 and I liked what I saw.
I may give your loads a try with some of the hard cast stuff I have.
Nice shooting!!!
