Just got the new mold and I'm impressed with the new design. It seems to be a little better quality control and machine work. It drops right at .356 and 104 grs.

I've got a couple of Lee 2 cavity molds that I would gladly purchase in the new design if I knew that's what I was getting.

I know what you mean, I'm sure there are a lot of the old design still on shelves. If I order another one, I'll ask if it's the new design. This one is mostly for my .380's and maybe a 9mm if I buy one later.

Was it the same price as the older models? Looks nice and professional.

I got it from this ebay dealer. I think it was $19.49

Yep, one of my favorite molds. Very accurate bullet with a variety of powders and speeds. I like to keep it right around 1000fps.
Mine drop right at .358, I load them as cast.
(edit) wow, I just noticed that new mold design. interesting...

That was first casts with a soft alloy 50/50 pb and WW's. I cast some last night with a hard alloy water dropped and they were closer to .358. My first casts were measured with my digital caliper and I don't think I re-Zeroed it before using it.

I'd be really dissappointed if they dropped at .356, I need .357 or .358 for 9mm or .38s.

Nothing that I own works very well with .356.

It is a nice looking mold, I think Lee has made a real improvement after 35 yrs or so of the old
mold design.

Those would pattern and be key-holing at 50' for me. I need .358.

After casting a bunch this week-end, they all measure at a little over .358. My digital caliper is off for sure. When I run them through a .358 lube sizer die, they do shave / shape a little so I know they're slightly over .358. Should work for plinkers in my .38 specials too.
