I bought an Ideal mould off Ebay at what I thought was a steal. It looked pristine in the pic and arrived in mint condition. It has never been cast with and has no rust. It's too pretty to cast with, I think. It's a 452-374 225 gr.RN. Is there a collector value to Ideal moulds, or should I just cast with it?

Use it. It's one of the most common moulds that Lyman made......but, it is also one of the better designs as well./beagle

Are you trying to say that you have a mold you've not cast with? That's like having a gun you've never fired. Yeah, right.

Of course use it, that's what it was made for.
