I only ask this as I think I really made one of mine Pi33ed off.
If you have read my saga with the Israeli Mausers you know I have one that you can't hit the broad side of a barn from the inside with.
Last week I ordered a new barrel for it!!
Today I took it to the range to use toshoot off a bunch of odds and end rounds I had.

Today it will hold a tea cup size group on an iron target at 100 yards.
2 Weeks ago ,same rifle couldn't hit the same target..

Didn't know inamite objects had feelings.
So now what do I do?
Go ahead and rebarrel it or put the barrel in storage and just shoot it?

An inquireing mind needs to know!!

Is it possible to make a rifle mad

Why yes, yes it is possible. More likely though you simply insulted the heritage of the Israeli Mauser.

Prior to shooting, every single time you take it out, you must say: muzzle tuff

Making a rifle mad, I don't know -- but apparently it's possible to scare one straight. :groner:

Run some Hornady ammo through it and it will be happier than ever.

What was the weather like the last time you went out?
Could the stock have shifted?
Did you make sure the stock screw's were tight?
I replaced all of mine with 1/4-20 SS socket cap screw's.

Did you switch to decaf?

Didn't change nothing!
Took it out of the safe, put it in a case, took it out of the case and set in in the shooting rest.

The weather before was sunny, and in the 70's. Monday it was 55 and rainy!
Doubt that had any effect as it didn't effect any other rifle I had with me.

Well, maybe the wood absorbed some moisture on the rainy day which made the stock swell and changed something that affects your accuracy for the better.

Sure you can make a rifle mad! You should have heard my Krags grumbling to each other the day I ordered an AR15 upper. If one could have loaded and worked the other, they'd have got me for sure! They haven't treated me the same since.

I don't know about mad, but liberals think they are evil.

... but liberals think they are evil. You have to understand that cannabis does strange things to the synapses of the brain. Oddly, these same liberals will be the first to run to the armed police and military for protection in the event of some perceived threat to their lives or dignity. Go figure!

That said, it is highly likely that the cooler and a heap more humid weather played a roll. What other guns did has no bearing on it. That one needs bedding or something. Or at least, that's the way it seems to me.

As for that barrel you just ordered? Heck, just put it on. But do keep the old one. Or better yet, spend some time and effort getting that rifle to shoot with its barrel, then change barrels and see what the new one can do. Just for fun.

If that gun has a wooden stock i would really look hard at it for a crack somewhere. An old guy told me one time to soak em in kerosene overnite and see if it helps. I asked what would that do and he said if it didn't help it would burn easier!

I think that you can get them upset. I have an O/U .410 field grade that I use for skeet. I made the mistake of taking it squirrel hunting. I shot 2 that day. Ever since then it has refused to do a proper job on clay birds!

Oh, you can make them mad. Load a 30-06 with pistol powder, I bet the rifle gets so mad it blows it 's top!

Take it shooting one more time and if she shoots teacup groups at 100 yds again it's telling you I don't want to loose my original barrel. If you change the barrel you might make it really mad. Leave well enough alone. Not only can you make them mad, I have owned some that were possed by the erratic shooting demons and required an exorcism before they would act right.
