Well if it's puttin out good quality ammo that goes bang and hits the bullseye, then a "thanks" is in order.

Glad it's doing the job.

I noticed that too. Makes some priming issues go away too.

You are looking at 150lbs of Hollywoods setting there.

Same bullet feeder, this ones 45acp. The pvc tube fits 40 and 45 perfect, guy gave me a piece at plumber supply with coupling too. I just sanded coupling a lil' and cut a site window in tube and drilled hole in other side in case ta want to pin the boolits or bullets up. I always cover presses up with pillow case and towel in top to keep em clean. I finally got this LLM working for 45acp with some mixed dies. My small lee primer works great. Have bunch of large primer 45 brass too.

Do you think it would work well with lead bullets?

gunoil

All i use is lead boolits. only! less someone gives me some copper plated. These drop dies are incredible even for a beginner, install and go.

you stated that you finally got the LLM with mixed dies to work. What all did you have to do?

Whatever creates accurate ammunition with minimal fuss does it for me.
I can appreciate a Lee on up through. Lee actually consistently has the most
innovative engineering, but they carved out a specific market niche and create
their products accordingly. When I was starting out and had a young family
I would have loved a good Lee set up. Better to have economy loaders than
not have them in the hobby at all. Probably some of the loads created are better
than ones created on obsolete (albeit way cool) equipment. I love the hobby and
have recently reminded myself why I started reloading in the first place. The hobby
for me sometimes is bigger than the reasons we started reloading in the first place.
So be it Lee Hollywood RCBS Lyman ..I do love it so.[smilie=w:

Lee has their place in reloading. Although I don't use their presses not everyone needs nor desires the best of everything in tooling. Lee allows many people to get their feet wet in reloading without going broke. If it works for them....fine....they can always buy other brands later if they see the need.

r1kk1, i put lee exp die in laithe and cut expander off. Then put rcbs solid lifter expander die in station 2 (not a powder thru die).. Mrbulletfeeder in 4.. The lee LM ejector mod makes all this work, loadmasterforums.com

Getting steel base plate done at machine shop this week. Ya want believe, unless you have a iphone5, but LLM does not move that much,, The iphone accelerates movement in that vid this much. Its never moved that much. I also do mods to LLM plastic primer system.

We have an iPhone 5 and three 4s in the family. I use a gorilla mount to do videos. I have my 550 mounted to a strong mount and that's mounted to a 2" thick maple top. I'll have to check for deflection when I return home this week from kingman, az.

No offense meant gunoil but it seems like a few mods just to load ammo. It's something I won't do brother. Thank you for answering my question.

Take care

+1...depends on what you want to pay for what it does..that looked to me like it was certainly
doing the trick. +1 for taking the flex out of the bench top. Nice set up , thanks

Another BIG pus one on that philosophy, I fervently try to adhere to it.:drinks:

(Although emotion for something really important like reloading..all bets are off.:-D )

That's the first nosedragger I've ever seen. What's it like to land it? Nose up a little wheels down then plop forward? Probably a real rush getting up to speed.

Well as everyone told me I would upgrade sooner or later. Welp you guys we're right. I have been using my Lee 1000 pro for a month or so, and have been pretty happy with it.

What did you get for the Pro1000? Thought about getting one and modifying it.
