Actually my buddy put it on the ground and is converting it into a playhouse/clubhouse for his boy. The interior is in great shape.

I was thinking it was one hell of a diver duck decoy weight. Can someone explain to an idiot the sailboat part? Ballast I presume. Do I need to start looking at sailboat sales for good lead. hmmm

it's a keel ballast from a sail boat. I've been unable to find any here in MT

Keep an eye out, Jim. I saw a junker sail boat this summer at a yard sale for free over south of Big Fork.

Dang! Missed again!
I have a sailboat kind friend keeping an eye out for me, he hangs out by the yacht club near you.

It's a LOT of work getting the lead keel off of the bottom of the fiberglass sailboat.
Most often the FREE sailboats come with the stipulation that you physically remove the boat as well.
Not easy to do when it's a 10,000 pound 32 foot boat. Won't fit in the back of the pickup.

Can't you just put it in a field and have someone drive by in the middle of the night and set the work's on fire?
No insurance so it should be OK.

Nice score there. How do you plan on breaking it up further? I suppose there's always the chainsaw again.

I have a few ideas although I'm not in a rush. Yes, there is the chainsaw but I have some other saws I am going to try too, as well as a potential solar melting idea. :)

I be a bow saw would probably work ok. It has a pretty thin kerf.

What about a hot-wire "knife"? ..or does that only work on non-conductors?
