I found some good tips for getting the most out of this bullet,
using the 38/357 expander, etc.

So, you were probably squeezin them down with the old expander. Now you are loading them longer. Sometimes you don't have to do too much to get things to work out. Glad you found success. I had to do a little more with my 9 to get the "lead out", but I finally found the solution. Heck, that's half the fun. enjoy Mike

there's an old sticky started by mtn gun 44.
it covers using the bigger spud from a 38 die,some even use a 38 special carbide die to size their 9m's.
and using the 358 diameter boolits.
reading it would have saved you those hours of frustration.
