The electronics gave it up.

After looking around the internet and forums, I decided I needed as shooting bench. After stripping the recumbent bike down this is what I came up with. Had to do a little whittling on the front post. It is very stable.

Here it is with the fold out arm for rifle shooting.

I suppose the "C" clamp is OK for a daisy, but I'd make an improvement before I'd clamp onto a Winchestor Mod. 70....or similar:bigsmyl2:

I am a great believer in adaptation and utilization of existing technology. You have excelled on both counts.

Most of the exercise things i see bikes treadmills all have very low miles lol good job now I got my eye out for a bike for a shooting station and a tread mill for a tumbler.

Maybe get a wood clamp like Harbor Freight sells. The kind with two screw handles so you can adjust it to a taper, and glue leather strips to the insides of the jaws.

Good job, Etcher1!

We found another use for them. We put it on our trail walk, and you had to be peddling as you shot at the target. Put a bit of challenge in the shot!

Bike for a shooting bench and treadmill for a tumbler, priceless!

How about an Abroller for a pistol rest? :kidding:

I congratulate you on your conversion. Nice work and a great idea. What really sucks is I have been seeing those things for free along the road and kept thinking "there must be a good use for one of those." Dang, I wish you had posted that a few months earlier!!!!!

A stroke of genius, and a hell of a lot more pleasurable to use than an exercise bike! (The voice of experience speaking, or rather, writing.)

Do not fret Edd, my current "profession" allows me to come across alot of them things....I will save one for you the next time I see one instead of tossing it into the scrapyard heap. I actually have one that is partway made into a shaving horse up to the hunting cabin.......now I have an excuse to save more junk.
