We do not have Elephants, Rino or T-rex where we live, But we do have DEER....I have been loading the 310Gr .431 Lee with 22.00 grains of H110 in our 77/44........Has anyone thought to download this bullet? We never shoot over 125 yards....... and thinking 1100-1200 fps would get "er done if we can get 2 inch or so groups????with way less recoil.........everybody wants to hunt with them because they are so light and handy......Ideas?

Yup, I shoot 240gr with a healthy load of hs-6 and the lee 310gr boolit with a normal charge of trailboss and hs-6 to accomplish what you're proposing.

2400 might also accomplish what you're suggesting, but you may have to do some load development...

i am wondering of blue dot or possibly lil'gun or 5744 its a rifle so you are at least up 200fps over a wheelgun load

I'm working on subsonic loads with a 300-310 grain boolit for use in a suppressed 77/44. I've seen load data using bullseye and herco in addition to those mentioned here. Will be interested to see what others have done and will post my results.

Try Unique. I've run them seated long over 8 in a SRH with and without a check. If you slowly would up from there it should get you to target velocity before hitting max. 2400 might also work but my accuracy was not good if reduced as low as you want to go.

Joking aside... why not just use the 44 mag standard 240-250 CB and 20+ of 2400 and save the 310s for bears and big boars?

I shot an elk with my plinking load of 24grs of WC680 with the Lee 310gr boolit in the 44 mag. Velocity is only about 1.050 fps but it is very accurate. Went thru the elk broadside with no problems at 75 yards.
