My son just picked up a second hand but unused Magma 32-20-115-RNFP/FB, 2 cavity iron mould. Has the double wing sprue plate intended for automated caster I imagine but it will make gloved hand cutting sweet. Sprue plate pivot is a spring loaded bolt which passes right through the mould and through the slots that the mould handle indexes into. Looks like I will have to modify a set of handles to accomodate this design. The top center line of the blocks has a serious venting bevel on both halves. I've occasionally had to stone a slight bevel on moulds which didn't vent well at the boolit bases but never to the extent these blocks are. Interesting. Have to get the factory oil off it and put it to work and see how it casts. Looks pretty nicely made overall.

This is actually the first Magma mould I've ever seen here although commercial casters in Canada probably have them. I haven't seen any of their operations either as I've been doing it myself for 60 years.
