I was wondering that too. Seems like there are always a bunch of gray 450's available but fewer of the orange ones. When did the 450 give way to the 4500? Was the 4500 ever orange?

I believe there were a couple of different shades of orange on the 45..some of the later ones look reddish-orange. And don't forget the Grand Daddy of all..the Ideal No.1 1892 model..japaned black casting with nickle plated lube reservior.
I won't use my 72' gray 450..anymore..too much sideways movement from that goofy linkage arrangement. My 45's are used for lighter sizing..most sizing I do is now done on reloading press nose-first Corbin or Lee dies. The old 92' Ideal is still in use for
lubing .22 & 6mm. These 45's and 92' have perfect top-punch to die mouth alignment..and absolutly no wiggle.
