Good Rossi Rio Grande load

Got one of these on order has anybody got any good loads for this Rossi Rio Grande 45-70 needs to be good accurate load nothing too hot.

Any load that's good for the Marlin 1895 is good in the Rio Grande. A god light load is a 405 grain LRFN over 12 grains of Trailboss.

I like 22-25 grains of 2400 under an RCBS 45-325u. Very accurate in my Marlin Cowboy, and not too pushy in the recoil department.

The action is not as strong as the 1895 Marlin. It's based on the 336 action not the 1895. I would be a little cautious of to heavy a load in them.

Got some Ace 405gr RNFP to try also got a Lee mould 405gr RNFP 90374. Will be shooting it at about 100 yards to start with so
i dont need anything heavy. Just need something that will give me good group.

Try the rd460-350 gr with 22 to 25 gr.
