I made a sizer die today, and after words got to wandering
Whats the groove below the O-ring for? (arrow)
Wandering why I machined it in there if it has no use?

It's useful if you have a Lyman 45 - it uses a set screw to retain the die.

And before the Lyman 45..for the Ideal No.1 1892 sizer.

I wondered about that, I have some used dies that show booger marks from a set screw. Thought maybe it was an RCBS thing.
I have a 450 so I didnt think about the others

...........I don't put them on mine, unless the customer asks (it's in the instructions:-)) for it. Nice looking die Jim!

You just reminded me I need a .359 sizing die and a few other things... I'll send you a note next week when I get back to Kansas and inventory my stock of dies to make sure I order the other ones correctly as well.

I know I contacted you awhile back about sizers. I had a older Sunnen pin home
sitting in the shop that I got for a song a few years ago.
I finally scrounged ebay long enough to find some small mandrels
and stones reasonable enough.
3 mandrels and a pack of stones cost me more that the machine did!
