Hello All,
One of the things I've learned here is what a wonderful cast bullet cartridge the
.358 Winchester is. I've been thinking of having one built but here's the deal. I already have a MG Arms Ultralight in .338-.308. This rifle was built before the .338 Federal was standardized, hence, .338-.308. The barrel is a 1:10" twist PacNor stainless match with muzzle brake. I would prefer a slower twist for cast but it is what it is.
I'll slug the bore and make an impact slug and have a custom mould made for this rifles chamber. The rifle weighs 6 pounds 4 ounces with scope and with a narrow fore end is not easy to shoot off the bench but will fairly consistently put 3 shots into 1/2" to 5/8" at 100 yards with 200 grain Ballistic Tips or 210 grain Parttions.
Do any of you have any suggestions to help get me started in the right direction? Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Tony
