Got up today, turned on the pots, got a cup of coffee, and started to cast.
Went to my Mom's, picked up a quilt She made for my OL.
Got home and went back to casting, some buddies came over to shoot.
Ate supper, and went back to casting and ended up with this.

Is it me or do I have a problem, do I cast to much,
it is almost to much fun, do I enjoy it to much?
Please tell me I am OK[smilie=w:

You are not casting enough until you cast, cast, cast, and cast some more -- and then pour them ALL back into the pot, melt them down, and start over again!! Don't laugh, I know some of you out there have done that!!

I run the machine until I get a full coffee can. Then I stop.
When I am running 45's I can run the machine about 2 hours and its full.
Problem is when i run 125 grain 38s. It takes all day to full the can up.
I guess I must of cast 1700 boolits over the weekend in under 3 hours and I was able to set my dillion back up for 38's (including a primer switchover from large to small) while the machine was running.

Yes, You have a problem.

There is a solution; you must immediately dispose of all of your molds and alloy to be cured. I offer the removal service for free, but as a result, I'm on a tight schedule and normally have a back-log. It just so happens that I have an opening this week, and can help immediately. PM for my address and shipping information.

Hmmmm... a five gallon bucket.. Makes me want to try to cast that much in a day. I only have a 20 lb pot though, maybe I need a bigger pot. Time for an upgrade! [smilie=w:

doesn't look like a problem to me, looks like a typical saturday or sunday to me, beats the heck out of sitting on the couch watching some mindless reality TV. thankfully i'm not retired yet still have a 8-10 year sentence working for the man , because as much as i love casting i'm sure i'm gona need more than the 1200# of lead i currently have to keep me occupied for longer than a month. wish i would have gotten into this hobby 30 years ago, use to work in the automotive industry and everyday i went to stores, dealerships and garages, radiator repair shops, ect and think back of all the wheel weights, solder and tin laying around in scrap piles TONS of it uggg . when people would give the stuff away (tear in my eye) just to get rid of it, not to mention all that military brass ok now i'm getting depressed guess i need a prozak or several Beers, guess i just need to invent a time machine so i can go back and get all this stuff for us casters today so we don't have to spend an arm and a leg just so we can do what we love cheaply.

it takes more than a day.
i have a couple of 40 lb pots set up and even that isn't enough to fill a 5 gal bucket full of boolits, even keeping it topped off throughout a session.
once you have the first 3-4 buckets full of boolits you don't have to use those molds for a looong time,so you can work on another mold for 5-6 sessions until you have that bucket full.

Basically your problem is that you let stuff interrupt your casting sessions....

I would not call that a problem. I'd call that a heck of a good start!

Noticebly absent from your description of your day, is: APPLE PIE! In respect of that, I'd be of the opinion, you have a problem!

Seems to me that the only real problem was getting the OL to bake an apple pie.

Hey Runner
You're just sick. But you sound like my kind of guy. Wish you were my neighbor !

I pick up 5 gallon buckets of range scrap so I can do that same thing....

it's just lazyness really.
once i got the alloy and such working for the mold/gun it's just easier to make 5-7k and just have them around.
i can work on something else while i use those up.
