My son shot his first buck this morning! The shot was about 50 yards and he used his H&R in 357 Maximum.

Dang, makes mine look like a snack!

At deer camp this year they were making fun of my little 6 point ( that I thought was a doe).
I told em if it had been bigger I would have shot a bigger deer, I have to take em as they come.

Nice buck Toby

[smilie=w: Good looking kid, great deer! His age?

Now then. Boolit? Load? Optic? (Looks like the perfect set up for the Handi) Details man, details!

I imagine a 357 maximum is a dandy deer cartridge, I may have to get one someday!

That's a great buck! Stormy Kromer? Need to get one of those hats. Well done for the boy.

The load is a 180 grain WFNGC over a max dose of H110. The H&R is wearing a Millett reddot sight. Yeah its a Stormy Kromer and its his favorite hat. He just turned 14 last month and reloads all his own ammo for this gun. He just got himself a new TC Encore in 7mm-08 so I think he is gonna leave the Max for his little sister.

Too cool man, too cool. Good on you and him. That does make our deer look small! Ours are around 135 live weight.
