I saw one at the fun show today for $399. It looked new and it had the box, neither or those things mean much to me. I'd just as soon have a gun that was scratched and dinged. I know I should have bought one when they were $229. I'd like to have it but the price is a bit high. I'm debating on going back tomorrow and making him an offer.

When they were that price I had one on order for TWO YEARS and finally gave up.
That price IS a bit stiff for that gun though. For that much I can almost buy another Rossi lever...

I think I'll go back tomorrow and see how "motivated" he is. He is a dealer so I'm going to have to deal with the tax and the phone call.

Doesn't seem that long ago when CDNN had them on closeout for $199. Thought about buying one then.

I over paid for mine but I don't care about that now.
Great little shooter.

I didnt buy the rifle...but nobody else did either. I may work on the guy at the next show for a better price. He is an FFL (as am I) so maybe he will show me some "professional courtesy". It's worth a try.

The Buffalo Classic in .45 Colt is on my list to look for at the next gun show I attend. I didn't want one while they were making them but my tastes have "matured". :)

I bought two, one for my dad and one for my son :) They both like them! Cool little rifles. I spent a little too much time on Greybeard's H&R site and ended up reaming them both to .454 Casull. :) Dad has shot a few in his gun, but the little guy just shoots medium 45 colt ammo . . . lots of it.

I personally think they are worth $400. Do watch the case coloring though, as it doesn't provide much, if any, rust protection.

Own one and love it. Got it used and cheap. Still chambered for 45 Colt.

Kittery Trading Post in Maine has one on their web site. I was there a week ago and looked at it. Great condition........$315

Can these be fitted for other barrels? If I find one I believe I'd like a .30-30 barrel too.

I picked up the Classic Carbine in 45 Colt from CDNN last year when they were $229. The 20" barrel is a nice size. I don't really care for the standard stock configuration of the handi rifle but the classic carbine straight pull looks good to me. I want to get a few extra barrels for this one so long as they have iron sights. I can get the 32" 45-70 barrel and it would look somewhat like the buffalo classic only it would have the shorter for end. Decisions, decisions. I don't really need additional barrels as the 45 Colt can be loaded up to take anything I might hunt for. For now, it is a great cast boolit plinker, and a lot of fun when loaded warm with a 300 RF or a round ball over a little Unique.
