I acquired 25 lbs of lead in sheet form. 1/8 inch thick. Very soft. Supposed to be pure. I also picked up a 5 gallon bucket of coww. So now I have ten muffin pan ingots of each. Today I picked up 4 25 pound rolls of 60/40 tin/lead solder. I also got my first mold in the mail yesterday. I think I might be ready to cast a boolit. Well maybe. I cant find the sticky I read months ago about mixing ratio to get the correct hardness. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm not gonna try to load these first boolits. Just want to get a decent mix and figure out the casting temp I need to be at. Im just not sure if 50/50 would be right. Or should I mix in a little of the solder if the bullet doesn't fill right?

You have 100 pounds of solder? wow!, you're off to a good start!

Here is a great web site to find a recipe, and just about any other info you need:
